Richard L. Yeakley

Richard L. Yeakley, age 82, of Dayton, transferred to Heaven on November 8, 2023. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on December 4, 1940, the son of the late James and Ruby Yeakley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 48 1/2 years, Linda R. Yeakley; and his brother, Jerry Yeakley.

Richard is survived by his loving children, Jeff (Naomi) Yeakley and Grace Anne Yeakley; grandchildren, Jennifer, Benjamin, Isaac, Olivia and Caleb; sister, Carol Wilson; his dog, Finleigh; and many other loving family and friends.

He retired from General Motors after 30 years of employment. He was a faithful member of the Wesleyan Evangelistic Church in Belmont. Richard had a wonderful sense of humor and was very witty. He also had a very kind, gentle spirit. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-8:00pm, on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Wesleyan Evangelistic Church, 2104 Revere Ave., Dayton. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 12:00pm, at the Church. Burial will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
