Richard W. Walker, age 73, of Englewood, went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2023. He was born on July 9, 1950 to the late Emery and Mildred Walker.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and he was a long-time member of the Union United Methodist Church. After working for over 30 years, he retired from Chemineer. Richard was an avid gardener, mostly growing vegetables. He also enjoyed fishing with his brothers. He was always willing to help anyone in need and was very generous. Richard was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brothers, David and John.
He will be remembered by his beloved wife of 54 years, Judy Walker; his children: Kimberly (Ibrahim) Ozerkan and Eric (Kate) Walker; grandchildren: Kaan, Avery, and Micah; brothers: Larry (Madonna) Walker, George (Trisha) Walker, Wayne (Kim) Walker and Steve (Melody) Walker; his sister-in-law and close friend, Trudy Morris; and many extended family and friends.
He will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Richard's honor may be made to Union United Methodist Church.
