Richard Vaughn Engle
Born in Celina, Ohio on March 22, 1965 to Benjamin F. and Janice Severns Engle.
His wife Deborah Chrisman Engle survives along with their three sons, Richard B., Christopher and Jacob Engle; one daughter, Megan (Cliff) Lewis; and eight grandchildren. Also survived by his father and step-mother, Benjamin and Betty Engle of Celina, Ohio; four brothers, Frank (Kathy), Curtis, Benjamin Todd (Angie) and Trent Engle, one sister Linda Sue Engle, all of Dayton; his mother-in-law, Susan Hook; three step-brothers, Craig (Brenda) McDermitt of St. Marys, Ohio, Mike McDermitt of New Bremen, Ohio and John (Sally) McDermitt of Celina, Ohio; and by numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Theodore (Fud) and Janice James of Dayton; and by a step-sister, Deanna Jo Slone of St. Marys, Ohio. Rich was self-employed.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday (2/16) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home with interment following at Willow View Cemetery, Dayton.
