Richard Gordon Rowles Sr.

Richard G. Rowles Sr., age 89 of Spring Valley, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. He was born on May 10, 1933 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania to the late Richard and Helen Rowles. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved son, Richard G. Rowles Jr.; two brothers, Nathan (Janet) Rowles and Kenneth Rowles; two sisters, Dorothy (Rusty) Knepp and Karen (Beef) Hugney.

Richard is survived by his three brothers, Arnold (Betty) Rowles, Ardell (Sally) Rowles, and Everett (Elaine) Rowles; two sisters, Theo Hepburn and Melanie Rowles; sister-in-law, Kyle Rowles; four children, Tracy Rowles, Rebecca Lawson, Cynthia (John) Goff, and Sandra Rowles; daughter-in-law, Brenda Short; eight grandchildren, Tasha Short, Christopher Goff, Carey Goff, Benjamin Rowles, Michael Rowles, Samantha Lawson, Nick Lawson, and Adam Rowles; thirteen great-grandchildren, Madison, Joseph, Layla, Jozi, Dillon, Corbin, Mason, Jackson, River, Bella, Gunner, Conrad, and Nova. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends, and his beloved Dachshund, Buster.

Richard was devoted to his faith and a proud Army veteran. He retired from Goodwill industries after 22 years. The most important thing to Richard was his family, he loved spending time with everyone.

Visitation will held be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). Funeral Service will be officiated following the visitation at 5:00 pm.
