Richard Lee Day

Richard "Rick" Lee Day, age 60, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away on September 3, 2023. He was born March 21, 1963, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Carl Wayne Day and Sharon (Patrick) Day.
Rick attended Xenia High School where he met and fell in love with his late wife, Tina Day. They were married on May 23, 1981. Rick worked at Twist, Inc. for 38 years where he took pride in his work and gained many friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sitting on his porch watching the deer and wildlife in his backyard. He loved spending his free time watching Nascar. His most favorite thing of all was being surrounded by his grandchildren who provided him with endless laughs.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Tina Day; father Carl Wayne Day; twin grandsons Kayden and Kole Day; and his grandparents.
He will be deeply missed by his sons, Joshua (Heather) Day and Jason (Telina) Day; daughter, Natosha; his 11 grandchildren Madison, Caleb, Sidney, Hadley, Blaire, Bristol, Daphney, Talon, Shyann, Dylan and Destyn; and 2 great grandchildren; Mother Sharon Day; sister Barbara Branham and Brother, Ronnie (Karen) Day; Mother-in-Law, Sara Groves; and a host of other familly members and friends.
He will be remembered as a devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather.
A Celebration of Rick's Life will be held from 2:00pm-4:00pm, on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek.
Donations may be made in his honor to The James Cancer Center at Ohio State University, 460 W. 10th Avenue, Columbus, OH, 43210.
