HUNT, Richard R. "Ray", of Kettering, 87 years old, husband, father, brother, passed away Sunday morning February 14, 2010 at 4:45 am. Richard "Ray" was born on November 24, 1923 to Ray and Addie (Thoma) Hunt in Dayton, OH. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Melba L. (Selders) Hunt of Coshocton, OH; son, James R. Hunt; daughter-in law, Muriel E. Hunt; grandson, Justin L. Hunt; granddaughters, Laurel and Leah Hunt; great-grandson, Alex Hunt; devoted caregiver, Terrie Hall; brother, Robert Hunt, and sister-in-law, Margo Hunt of Sarasota, FL. Ray graduated from Chaminade Catholic High School, class of 1941. He also attended 9 years at St. Mary's and St. Gregory's seminaries in Cincinnati. He retired in 1985 from Frank C. Glueck Co., and was previously with Metropolitan Life. During retirement he worked as a tour guide and treasurer for the Kettering-Moraine Museum. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Holy Cross Church, 1924 Leo St., Dayton. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering.
