Richard C. Peak, "Rick," age 61 passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 following a year long battle with cancer. He was born October 25, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio.
He was a hard-working, fun-loving, Harley-riding, cake-stealing man.
Rick is survived by his wife, Debra; children, Virgil (Vicky) Butler, Michael (Wendy) Newman, Leah (Rick) Tillman; grandchildren, Jerika, Bailey, Zavier, Madison, Tyler, Alexis, Zachary, Peyton, Gavin, and Carson, who now have a huge void in their lives. His sister, Wanda Sue Peak and her daughter, Tonya; as well as many aunts and uncles; and loads of cousins who will all miss him terribly.
With Rick's dry wit, sense of humor and his poker face, he verbally entertained us all. Rick's friends in HOG, his friends in trucking, his friends in the 224 Sheet Metal Union, his riding buddies, and his long-time friend, Keith, from when they served 40 years ago on the USS Kennedy, will all miss spending time with him and cutting up.
His parents, Garnie Levi Peak and Alta Mae Peak, preceded him in death. Rick is now rejoicing in Heaven with them.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). A funeral service will begin at 3 pm with military honors.
