Richard Cody Parks, age 46 of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 15, 2020. He was born November 18, 1973 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Robert Parks and Charlene Ratliff.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Parks; and uncle, Smokey Ratliff.
Cody is survived by his wife, Jennifer; daughter, Paige Sports-Parks; son, Casey Parks; mother, Charlene Ratliff; siblings, Vanessa (Kozlowski) Parks, Bobby Parks, Donna Bantz Miller, Terri Brooks, Kathy Arbaugh; mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Kay Lowe; sister-in-law, Joddie Lowe; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved dogs, Shelby, Sissy and Randie.
Cody was a diesel mechanic for 20 years, and was currently employed with Murphy Tractor in Vandalia. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors. He was also a Mason and a member of Fairborn Masonic Lodge #764.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
