Linkenhoker, Richard E, age 95, of Dayton passed away on June 23rd, 2016.
He was born on October 1st, 1920 in Springfield Ohio, to the late Earl Linkenhoker and Ruth (Silver).
He served in the Army as a Master Sergeant in Medical Supply. He received two bronze stars, as well as several medals. He worked in the trucking industry, including Silver Motor Freight.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Nola Ruth, his brother Jack Linkenhoker, his brothers-in-law John Reed, Clifford Reed & Max Lehman ; sister-in-law Hope Gephart; and great grandchild, Coty Frady.
Richard is survived by his son Richard Alan (Virginia) Linkenhoker,; daughter, Pamela (Craig) Wall; five grandchildren, Wendy (Mike) Frady, Suzanne (Chris) Fedullo, Amanda Wall, Rick (Aimee) Garofalo, Scott (Sarah); nine, 9 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Beckley, Tara Beckley, Sarah Fedullo, Catie Fedullo, Matt Fedullo, Shane Frady, Sydney Young, Kinsey Garofalo, Josh Garofalo, sister Jean Lehman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He loved his family, made us laugh, and loved to tell stories of his life. He will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at the Glen Haven Cemetery in New Carlisle on July 25th at noon in the chapel, followed by a veteran's service at the gravesite.
