Rick Warren
(USMC, Ret, Cpl)
Age 60, went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 20, 2008.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard N. Warren; step-father, Jimmy Linville; grandmother, Goldie Kiger; and by his brother, Harley Linville.
Rick is survived by his devoted wife of the past 40 years, Mary F. (Gault) Warren; his mother, Virginia Tankersley; two children, Pastor Richard Jr (Patti) Warren and Bryan (Marie) Warren; six grandchildren; one sister, Debra (Pete) Vagedes; two brothers, Mike (Freda) Tankersley & Ray (Brenda) Linville.
Rick was an active 25-year member of the Way of the Cross Church. During the Vietnam War he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps where he received the Purple Heart and was highly decorated for bravery and meritorious service in combat.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, at the Way of the Cross Church, 612 Beatrice Dr., Riverside. Pastor William Loudermilk will officiate. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday AT THE CHURCH. Interment Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Rick to the Way of the Cross Church to assist his wife, Mary.
