Richard L. Stephens, age 72, of Moraine, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at home with his family by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Marguerite Stephens; brother, Leslie Stephens and sister, Edith Woods.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Darlene Stephens; children, Mark (Alicia) Stephens, Richard (Maria) Stephens, David Stephens, Kerry (Nichole) Stephens and April (Bryan) Major; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; brother, Charles (Beverly) Stephens; sister, Roberta Johnson; brother, Roger Thompson; and many other relatives and friends.
A special thanks to Miami Valley Hospital 6 East and The Hospice of Dayton.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 12-1 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 1 pm. Burial will take place at The Dayton National Cemetery.
