Richard Koenig

Richard W. Koenig, age 87, passed away April 18, 2015 in Dayton, Ohio. He was born to the late Joseph and Edna Koenig on April 8, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio. Dick was a United States Navy veteran who served in both WWII and the Korean War as a Seabee and later retired from NCR after 33 years. He was a dedicated husband, dad and grandpa. Dick is survived by his three sons Tom (Tara) Koenig, Bill (Elaine) Koenig, Paul (Mandy) Koenig; seven grandchildren Maura, Hannah, Noah, Adam, Ann Marie, Ashleigh, Carson; brother Cliff Koenig and special friend Betty Raines. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Lou. Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 5pm-7pm with a Catholic Mass at St. Luke Catholic Church Beavercreek, Ohio on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 10:30am. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
