August 18, 1933 — July 3, 2017

Richard Meade Kiddle, 83, of Centerville passed away July 3, 2017 after a lengthy battle with Parkinsons disease.

Richard was born on August 18, 1933 in Kinsman, OH, the son of Edith and Frederick Kiddle.

Richard enlisted in the Air Force and went through basic training at Sampson AFB in Geneva, NY. He worked in the Tower at WPAFB and was maintenance supervisor of the F-16s at Springfield.

While on active duty in the Air National Guard, he visited numerous places including Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Alaska. He served stateside during the Korean conflict.

In his personal time, Richard enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling, camping, four-wheeling, and boating. He was an avid license plate collector and attended many swap meets. He built a house on Norris Lake, TN, and after retirement spent summers in Lake Suzy, FL.

Surviving Richard is his wife Florence Kiddle, brother Brad (Sally) of PA, sons Scott (Joanna) Kiddle of WV and Jeff Kiddle of OH, daughter Lynn (Dave) Pontius of OH, and stepsons Mike Eldridge of MT, Joe Eldridge of OH, Larry (April) Eldridge of OH, stepdaughter Debra (Dan) Unterman of OH, 16 grandchildren, 17-1/2 great-grandchildren, and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 8, 2017 at 1200 hrs at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432 with George Baier officiating. Burial will follow at Bellbrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday July 8, 2017 from 0930 – 1200 hrs at the funeral home.
