Richard Johnson

On January 26, 2022, Richard Johnson, age 70, completed his earthly mission and was called home to his final resting place. Richard was born in Pittsburgh, PA to George Johnson and Dolores Crump on April 27, 1951. He received his childhood education in the Pittsburgh Public School System.

After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force where he spent 15 years. He was stationed at Lackland AFB, TX, Barksdale AFB, LA, Vandenburg AFB, CA, Ankara AB, Turkey and Chanute AFB, IL. He served as a Federal employee at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH as a Training Technician.

He was married to Nancy Carroll on June 25, 1971 in Pittsburgh, PA. He leaves behind to cherish his memory six children, Richard Johnson, Jr., Alora Johnson, Sherilyn Johnson, Allen Johnson, Robert Johnson and Brianna Johnson; a brother, George Johnson; sisters Carol Johnson and Darlene Johnson; grand-children, Tomara Johnson, David Johnson, Jivani Johnson, Kyle DeCapio, Kalani Johnson, Sarah Riley, Caleb Talley and Kira Wakolee; great grand-children Ayden Johnson, David Johnson, Jr.; Na'Laya DeCapio and Ne'Veah DeCapio; cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert Johnson and Allen Johnson and grandson Aydan Sallee.

He was a great friend and a mentor to many. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, listening to jazz, working on cars, woodworking and building things.
