Richard "Jake"K. Spurlock

Richard "Jake" K. Spurlock, age 60 of Xenia, Ohio went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2022. He was born June 14, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Richard and Priscilla Spurlock.

Jake was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed going to concerts and listening to music. He loved having gatherings with his family and friends while enjoying a nice cold beverage. Jakes pride and joy was his beloved dogs, Buster and Lacey. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Jake was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Spurlock; sister, Debra Spurlock; brother-in-law, Dale Goosey and nephews, Bobby Henson and Thomas Goosey.

Jake is survived by his son, Richard (Brittney) Spurlock; step-daughter, Betty Cunningham; grandchildren, Kyleigh Spurlock, Ryleigh Spurlock, Jaxon Spurlock, and Joleigh Spurlock; sister, Tamara Spurlock; best friend/ niece, Rebecca Spurlock; nieces, Amber (Chris) Weng and Amanda (Jimmy) Goosey; nephews, James Henson, Justin Henson, Dustin Voge, and Jacob Goosey; great niece and nephew, Priscilla (Jordan) Price and Waylon Simpson; his closest companions, Buster and Lacey; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 2-4pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A funeral service will begin at 4pm at the Funeral Home.
