Richard "Jack" John Craig, age 83 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born November 14, 1930 in Brooklyn , New York the son of Joseph and Margaret Craig. Jack served in the United States Military for 24 years. He was a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Jack volunteered at the Air Force Museum for 22 years and coached soccer at Stebbins High School for 17 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Emma Klimas, Mabel Maltby, and Catherine Craig, brothers, Charles and Joseph Craig.
Jack is survived by his wife Elva Lou; two sons, Roy (Carrie) Craig and Roger Craig; four grandchildren, Rosalyn Craig, Robert Craig, Morgan Craig, and Brooke Craig. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday April 22, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dayton National Cemetery on Tuesday at 2:00 pm.
