Richard J."Dick" Godfrey

Godfrey, Richard J. "Dick", age 61, of Kettering passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Dick was born November 15, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio.

Dick is survived by his mother: Helen I. (Segui) Godfrey; his loving wife of 36 years: Susie (Voelkl) Godfrey; two sons and daughter-in-law: Brian & David (Tiffany) Godfrey; two grandsons: Kaidan & Quinn; sister: Theresa Sarver; brother and sister-in-law: Robert (Paula) Godfrey; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: George A. Godfrey Jr.; and his brother: George Godfrey. Dick worked at WPAFB for over 42 years in Research Toxicology.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Ascension Catholic Church, 2025 Woodman Dr., Kettering, Ohio 45420. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Kettering. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dayton for all of their care and support. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
