Richard Gillespie
July 7, 1946 — November 3, 2012
Richard "Greg" Gillespie, age 66, of Kettering, OH passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Rose Gillespie; wife, Nancy Gillespie; and brother, John Gillespie.
Survivors include his daughter, Aimee Reed; son, Matthew Gillespie; granddaughters, Dianne Gillespie and Andrea Reed; sister, Patti Gillespie; and brothers, Mike (Sandy) Gillespie and Jim Gillespie. A special thanks to Meagan Geeting and Patti Gillespie for all their loving care.
Greg graduated from Fairmont West High School in 1964, he served in the US Army during Vietnam as a medic, was a US Postal Carrier for 33 years in the Dayton area, and was an avid lover of chess and card games.
Visitation is Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, November 9, 2012 at 10:30am at the Church of the Incarnation, Dayton, OH.
Entombment is in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart and Lung Association.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
