Richard G. Downing, Jr.

Richard G. Downing, Jr., age 72 of Englewood, passed away April 19, 2013. He was born April 16, 1941 in Greenville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard Downing, Sr. and Marie & Paul Maxwell; and step-daughter, Cynthia Tobe.

Richard is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shirley Downing; sons: Karl (Ljubica) Downing and Bryon (Casey) Downing; step-daughter, Susan (David) Nofziger; step-son, John (Catherine) Ashenfelter; grandchildren: Maggie Downing, Iona Downing, Angel Klump, Emily Skoglund, Brian Hoeflich, David Hoeflich and Jacob Bowling; great grandson, Sebastian Hoeflich; sister, Sue Von Aschen.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of New Hope Open Bible Church, where he served as an elder and was a coordinator for men's ministry.
