Richard P. Firsdon, age 87, of Beavercreek, passed away May 27th, 2023, after a lengthy illness.
He peacefully went to be with the Lord where he joined his parents, James and Elizabeth Firsdon; his beloved former wife of 39 years; five brothers and five sisters; and extended family members. Richard is survived by his three children, Greg (April) Firsdon, Laura (Dave) Daniels and Kim Skinn. He has 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; numerous nephews and nieces; also many extended family, dear friends and dance partners.
Richard pursued his education at Bowling Green State University, Ohio State University and AFIT. He retired from WPAFB after 33 years of service. After retiring, Richard was fortunate to have a second career that he equally loved as a home builder. He was active in various ballroom dance groups, the Dayton Ski Club and was a member of the Queen of Apostle Community (QAC) church. He loved to sail, snow ski, listen to jazz music, travel the world and cheer on The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 10:00am-11:00am, at Queen of Apostles Community "QAC", 4435 E. Patterson Rd., Beavercreek, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am. Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, 1220 E. Merry Ave., Bowling Green, Ohio, at a later date.
