Richard E. Darding

DARDING, Richard E., age 76, of Jamestown, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Miami Valley Hospital. Born May 3, 1938 to the late Omer and Mabel Darding.
He was a long time resident of Beavercreek and a 1956 graduate of Beavercreek High School. Richard retired after 42 years of service as a gas and electric serviceman from Dayton Power and Light.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Keith Darding. Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruby (Masters) Darding; daughters, Cheryl (Donnie) Kirk and Linda (Mark) Christopherson; son, Rick (Sue) Darding; grandchildren, Daniel (Melissa) Kirk, Brian (Kristin) Kirk, Camden (Justin) Wallen, Travis (Linsey) Christopherson, Isaiah Christopherson, Justin Darding, and Casey Darding; great granddaughter, Arrianna Wallen; nephew, Scott Myers, and niece, Sonja Johannes. The love for camping with his family and friends resulted in many happy memories.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Jamestown Presbyterian Church, 61 W. Washington St., Jamestown, OH 45335. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or Jamestown Family Cancer Care, P. O. Box 35, Jamestown, OH 45335.
