Richard "Dick" L. Brinkman Jr., age 78 of Centerville, Ohio departed this world January 28, 2022. He was born March 18, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Richard L. and Rosemary M. (Helsel) Brinkman Sr.
Richard was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was a master tool and die maker having starting his career worked at Brinkman Tool and Die and then retiring from Delco after 28 years. Richard and Judy were longtime members and instructors of the Dayton Two Steppers. He was also an avid bowler in the Dayton area for over 60 years and spent much of his free time working in his garage Pro Shop for friends and family. After retirement, Richard and Judy enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time together and with their daughter and granddaughter, Samantha who was their pride and joy. Richard will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years Judy (Watson) Brinkman.
Dick is survived by his daughter, Marnie (Mark) Berridge; his granddaughter, Samantha Ghrist; and his sister, Barbara (Brinkman) Barlage.
Family will receive friends on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 12-2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A Funeral Service will begin at 2pm at the Funeral Home.
Richard will be laid to rest next to his wife Judith, privately at Medway Cemetery.
