Richard D. Rounds

Richard D. Rounds, age 69 of Huber Heights, passed away November 1, 2015. He was born March 4, 1946 in Dayton to his mother, Lorraine (Moore) Rounds and his late father, Joseph Rounds. In addition to his father, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Rounds, brother-in-law, Darrell Atwood and his beloved pet, Babe.
He is survived by his mother; siblings, Jack (Sandra) Rounds, Penny (Jack) Center, Cheryl Gordon, Pam Dowen, Becky Rounds, Gary Rounds, Greg Rounds, Robin Macadangdang and Dede Atwood.
Richard was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Dayton Fire Department for over 30 years. Richard was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of Dayton Bicycle Club, Wright Patterson Gun Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars in both Tipp City and Huber Heights.
A gathering of family and friends to share memories of Richard will be on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 5-7PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Montgomery County Animal Shelter, in Richard's memory.
