Richard "Dick" Collinsworth, age 73, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011.
Dick served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Specialty Papers as a supervisor after 36 years.
Dick was an avid hunter and fisher.
He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Catherine Collinsworth; parents, James & Minnie Collinsworth; granddaughter, Melissa Roberts; and brother, Raymond Collinsworth.
He is survived by daughter, Richael (Robert) Berk; step-children, Starr (Wes) Gillford, William and Robert Brown; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Jessie, Charles, and Ishmael Collinsworth; sister, Esta Wells; special friends, Smitty and Pinky; special neighbors, Bob, Sue, Mike and Mary Lou; and his second family at Butch's Bar.
Family and friends are welcome to visit Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 5-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel. The service will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at David's Cemetery.
