Richard Michael Coffey, Jr., "Rick", age 64 of Dayton, passed away September 13, 2022. He was born in Berlin, Germany on August 30, 1958 to Richard M. Coffey, Sr. and the late Editha (Prochnow) Coffey.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Brittiny (Chris) Beard, Paige (Joe) Wiley, Morgan Coffey and Jeffrey Coffey; grandchildren, Reagan, Owen, Colin, Eve and Duncan; father, Richard (Phyllis) Coffey, Sr.; siblings, Hans (Elyse) Coffey, Bryan (Lisa) Coffey, Kent Coffey, Colleen Coffey and Chris (Shana) Coffey; best friend, Brian\ Glant and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Rick was an all-sports enthusiast. He grew up playing baseball, transitioned his passion towards triathlons, then playing golf with his buddies, riding his bike almost daily and would always be rooting for his favorite sports teams: Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Dayton Flyers. His biggest and most recent passion of course, was laying out on his little piece of paradise, 'Coffey's Beach', and sharing it with anyone who would join him!
The family will have an open house to celebrate Rick's life Sunday, September 18th from 4:00 - 8:00pm at Hank's Local Bar (2529 Patterson Rd. Dayton, OH 45420).
