Richard Elisha Clark, age 91 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021. He was born August 29, 1929 in Nokomis, Illinois the son of Robert and Leonora Clark.
Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. During his early life, he enjoyed playing the saxophone in jazz bands. He worked at Winters bank, which became Bank One and eventually Chase where he retired. He was active in the Dayton Masonic Organization for many years. He was active for many years as an Officer in the Dayton Full Gospel Businessman's Association. He was a faithful and active member of Kirkmont Presbyterian Church, serving on the Sessions, an elder and singing in the choir for many years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Clark; his parents; brother, Robert Clark; and special nephew, Ryan Jones.
Richard is survived by his children, Richard & Olga Clark Sr., Katheryn "Kate" Halper, Robert & Annemarie Clark, Susan & Mike Weaver, Betsy Clark and Murray & Lois Clark; grandchildren, Richard Clark Jr., Christopher Clark, Jennifer & Justin Satinover, Andrea & Tim Weiss, Robert & Tommie Clark, Jeff & Stephanie Hunter, Nicholas & Brandi Slusser, Beth & Steven Bridges, Glenn & Lesley Weaver, Charity & Ryan Gerig, Emily Clark and Nicholas Crumbley; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Bettie Stanchak; special nieces, Linda & John Scherer, Cindy Sampson and Candice & Steve Leon; and many other loving family members and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to Kirkmont Presbyterian Church in Beavercreek in Richard's honor.
Visitation will be February 9, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
