Richard A. Burke
April 9, 1958 — July 14, 2021
Richard Allen Burke, age 63 of Dayton, passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born April 9, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Larry and Lois Burke.
Richard worked for 30 years for the Montgomery County Public Defender's Office. He was a faithful member of Oak Creek Church of God and did many odd jobs there. He will be remembered for his giving spirit as he was always willing to help others in need. He was a kid at heart and loved to play with children. He was also a big pet lover, especially his beagle mix, Tessa.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry E Burke Jr and sister, Tina Burke.
Richard is survived by his wife of 34 years, Carolyn; sisters, Cathy Wood & Elizabeth Burke; sisters-in-law, Kathy Saujon & Cindy (Gary) Feltner; nieces and nephews, Andy, Andrea, Brandon, Laura, Tiffany, Gabe, Sarah, Jeff, Rebecca & C.J and many other loving family members and friends.
Memorial Donations may be made to Oak Creek Church of God in Richards' honor at 4800 Bigger Rd, Kettering, OH 45440.
Visitation will be Wednesday July 21, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a service at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Pastor Jim McPherson will be officiating.
