Blakeley, Richard M. "Rickaroo", 64, a long time resident of Kettering, passed away Friday, April 28th 2017.
He was born January 16th 1953 in Dayton, Ohio. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Alice and Ralph Blakeley Sr, brothers, Tom, Robert "Bob", and Ralph Jr.
He is survived by his brother, John W. and wife, Deanna Blakeley; his nieces, Lisa Blakeley, Tonia Blakeley, Teresa Blakeley Williams, Kim Blakeley McLees, Julie Blakeley; nephews, Jeremiah Fisher, Tim Blakeley, Jim Blakeley; numerous great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Jewel Blakeley, Sharon Blakeley, and many friends.
Rick was a graduate of Fairview High School, class of 1971.He retired from GM/Delco Products in Kettering, after 30 years.
Richard was an artist, and enjoyed painting. He loved playing tag football, baseball, the banjo, harmonica and guitar. He liked to spend time with his buddies at the beach in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Cancun, Mexico. Richard had a wide range of interests including classic cars, canoeing, gardening and watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Go Cowboys!
He enjoyed hanging out with his many, many friends at Nortons and Diplomat. Richard was a jokester, and will be remembered for his distinctive laugh, his smile, his many quotes and his laid back demeanor.
