Richard John Bennett

Richard John "Dick" Bennett, age 81 of Tipp City, passed away October 9, 2018. He was born January 27, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio to the late John P. and Inez M. Bennett.
Dick is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bennett; children: Adam (Jeanna) Bennett and Dawn Bennett; grandchildren: Adam Bennett, Jr., Jonathan Bennett and Nancy Bennett; brother, Charles (Rhonda) Bennett; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was a member of the American Legion Post # 763 in Beavercreek. He retired from General Motors after many years of employment. Dick enjoyed listening to Big Band music and audio books.
Visitation will be held from 12-1 pm on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial and military honors will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made in Dick's memory to the Hospice of Miami County.
