Richard Lelyn Ash

Richard Lelyn "Lee" Ash, age 70 of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at his residence. He was born on November 23, 1950 in Athens, Ohio to the late Desmond and Betty Ash. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Lester "Ray" Ash and William "Bill" Ash; and his sister, Brenda Ash.

Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Vernona Ash; son, Richard "Lee" (Gabrielle) Ash II; step-daughter, Tracy (Chris) Collins; three grandchildren, Justin Collins and Kaitlyn Collins, Michael Stout; brother, Edward "Teddy" (Rhonda) Ash; nephew, Weston Ash; niece, April Trent; and two great-nieces, Alex (Austin) Azbill and Taylor Trent. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, November 30 at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 4141 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, Ohio. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, with the service beginning at 5:00pm. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
