Richard A. Koppin
Age 76, of Huber Heights, passed away Friday, January 18, 2008, at his home.
He was preceded in death by one son, James Koppin; and by his parents, Allen & Verona Koppin.
Dick is survived by his wife of the past 13 years, Patricia A. (Brown-Lee) Koppin; one son, Michael R. & Theresa Koppin; two daughters, Alicia & Jerry Mitchell and Kathy & Al Reichard; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren with a fourth due in August; and by four step-children, Russell & Madeline Brown, Gary L. Brown, Michael A. & Kathy Brown and Cathy & Ronnie Smith.
Dick was a member of Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church. During the Korean Conflict he served as an MP in the U. S. Army. He worked for many years with the former Liberal Markets where he started as a box boy and worked his way up to being a manager. He was a member of the Huber Heights V.F.W. and the Moose Lodge in Troy.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Del Staigers at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at Queen of Martyrs Church.
