Richard A. Bishop

Richard A. Bishop, age 77 of Medway, passed away October 8, 2011. He was born January 23, 1934 in Barnet, VT to the late Ernest and Bernice Bishop. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Dick is survived by his wife, Vickie Bishop; children: Brenda (Dale) Young, Gary (Teresa) Bishop and Joyce Bishop; step-daughter, Theresa (Ronnie) Lester; step-son, Kevin Wells; 10 grandchildren: Matthew, Emily, Kelly, Christina, Timothy, Sara, Jessica, Josh, Jennifer and Jake; 4 great grandchildren; siblings: Janice, Reggie, Joe and Steve; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service, and was retired from Teamsters Local 957.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, with military honors performed by the United States Air Force.
