Rhonda Jean Huber, a beloved mother, grandmother, caregiver, and cherished member of her community, was born on October 29, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio. She departed this world peacefully on November 16, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Rhonda's journey was characterized by a devoted commitment to learning and teaching. She graduated from Grand Forks High School in North Dakota in 1974, displaying an early thirst for knowledge that would define her career. Rhonda earned her Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting from Miami Jacobs College and further pursued an Associate's Degree in Business Information Systems from Sinclair Community College. These accomplishments not only shaped her career but also exemplified her love for education.
For several years, Rhonda worked as a librarian at Queen of Martyrs Elementary School in Dayton while her children were students there, fostering a love for reading and learning among young minds. Additionally, she served as a medical assistant, demonstrating her caring nature in all her professional endeavors.
Rhonda was truly a firecracker, embodying warmth and humor in every interaction. Known for her loving and outgoing personality, she brought joy to everyone she encountered. Her laughter was infectious, and she had an extraordinary ability to put others first, always extending a helping hand or offering a listening ear. A crafty soul, Rhonda found joy in sewing, crafting, and quilting—a reflection of her creative spirit and nurturing heart.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Huber, and her adoring children: Ashley Kemphues (Jason), Mickey Huber (Todd), Katie Huber (Dan), and Clint Huber. Rhonda took immense pride in her grandchildren, Cole, Jase, Hadley, and Peyton, who were the joys of her life. The bonds she created with her sisters, Susan Getz (Sam), Paula Chenger, and Rose Tilden, along with her brother Ty Chenger, were foundational to her sense of belonging. Rhonda cherished her many nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of relatives and friends, each of whom felt the warmth of her presence.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Louis and Patricia Chenger, as well as her sisters, Adrienne and Joyce, who now watch over her from above.
A visitation honoring Rhonda's life will be held on November 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Polk Grove Cemetery, Butler Township, at 12:30 PM.
Rhonda Jean Huber’s spirit will undoubtedly live on through the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind a tapestry woven with love and laughter, forever securing her place in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
