Rhonda Dale Hickman

Rhonda Dale Hickman, age 68, of Dayton, passed away on November 3, 2021. She was born in Springfield, Ohio, on July 15, 1953, the daughter of Donald and Wilma (Robinson) Freshour.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry Hickman; grandchildren, Brian Keith Hickman II and Jaslynn Alexiah Russell; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Rhonda is survived by her loving children, Donald (Vicki) Hickman, Justin (Annette) Hickman, Brian (Jessica) Hickman and Sonja Hickman; her "adopted kids", Bobby Scott, Christopher Calhoun, and Kevin Peavy; grandchildren, Donald II, Dustin, Daniel, Nicholas, Anna, Mikayla, Krystal, Tiffany, Desiree, Justin II, Selena, Larry, Denise, Daminita, Whitney, Dylan, L.T. and Alexziah; 20 great grandchildren; siblings, Judy Madewell, Jona Kaye Peters, Donna Couch, Pamela Hobbs, Linda York-Freshour, Andrea Hearn and Melinda Vaughn; her loving friend, James Todd, and special thanks to her care-giver and granddaughter Jennifer Hickman.

She had worked for many years with Carlson Marketing Group in Moraine. She was a member of the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary #657 for many years. Throughout her life she taught many latch-key kids for the Dayton Boys & Girls Club, as well as teaching cooking classes. She adored her time spent with family and loved being with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 1pm, with Pastor Mark McVey officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
