Rhonda L. Bennett

Rhonda L. Bennett, age 72, of Dayton, passed away August 24, 2024. Rhonda was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on November 6, 1951 to Shirlene Gallion and Neil Hodges.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Willa Bigelow and Thomas Hodges.

She is survived by the love of her life, Charles Bennett; daughters, Sandy (Steve) Williams, Christy Shroyer, Amy (Jodie) Shaffer, Aaron (Barbra) Shaffer and Jamie (John) Heppeard; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; as well as many other friends and extended family.

Rhonda retired from the City of Dayton. She was a lifetime member of VFW Post #8312, the American Legion #763 and the Moose Lodge #73. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, gambling, card making, going to baseball games with Charlie and cooking for her family. 

Rhonda was very social. She was tough, funny, sarcastic and thrifty. You never knew what she was going to say.
