Reva Salyer

Reva Salyer, age 87 of Spring Valley, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 30, 2021. She was born October 20, 1933 in Engle, Kentucky daughter of the late Beckham and Sara Combs.

Reva was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, neighborhood mother, and friend. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, sewing, and upholstery. Reva was part of the town council in Spring Valley. Reva was always a helping hand to those around her whether humans or animals. She loved to help anyone or anything around in need. Reva is going to be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Reva was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Russell Salyer; second husband, Robert "Bob" Little; son, Dale Allen Salyer; granddaughter, Linsey Didit; great granddaughter, Keilana Didit; and son-in-law, Terry Gillespie.

Reva is survived by her children, Judy (Davy) Smith; Patricia Gillespie; Joe (Lisa) Salyer, Jon (Michelle) Salyer, and Dan Salyer; many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; siblings, Everett Combs, Jeanette Combs, and Matt Combs; neighborhood children as if they were her own; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 2-3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A funeral service will begin at 3pm. Burial to follow at Medway Cemetery.
