Rev. Robert Sparks, Sr.
March 23, 1930 — July 25, 2017
Rev. Robert Sparks, Sr., age 87 of Northridge, reunited with his wife Nettie Mae (Davis) Sparks, on July 25, 2017. He was born March 23, 1930 in Crab Orchard, KY to the late Virgil and Lucretia (Helton) Sparks. In addition to his wife and parents, Robert was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, John and Elisha Sparks; 3 sisters, Virginia Hullet, Alice Day and Edith McQuery.
He is survived by his children, Robert (Colette) Sparks, Jr., Ralph (Donna) Sparks, Sr. and Virgil Mack (Debbie), Sparks; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Alberta Caudill and many nieces and nephews.
Robert worked and retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. He also served as a minister of The Pentecostal Church of God.
Family will receive friends from 12-1 PM on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 1 PM. Interment will follow the service at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
