Rev. Leroy P. Wilkinson
Age 70, of Fairborn, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at Hospice of Dayton.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin C. & Yettie Ruth Wilkinson; and by two sisters, Freda Lee & Mildred Cason.

Rev. Wilkinson is survived by his wife, Maxine Wilkinson; one daughter, Darlene & her husband, David Krogol and their children, Jacob & Kaylin; two sisters, Linda Faulkner & Glenda Williams; five brothers, Gordon, Herman, William, Charles & Jimmy Wilkinson; five step-daughters, Sharon & her husband, Jack Nickols, Charlotte & her husband, Ricky Christian, Janine & her husband, Kenny Bowman, Sandy Farley & Ronnie Morgan, and Jennifer Farley; five step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren.

Rev. Wilkinson was pastor of the General Baptist Church in Fairborn on Vine Street and formerly served as pastor of the Valley Street United Baptist Church for 17 years. He touched many lives during his ministry and will be greatly missed by all those for whom he prayed and visited.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., TODAY, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Hackworth officiating. Interment will follow at Byron Cemetery.
