Age 78, of Trotwood, passed away Monday, October 18, 2010.
He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lee Holder.
John is survived by his wife of the past 56 years, Gladys M. (Seward) Holder; five children, John (Phyllis) Holder, Joyce (Cornelius) Charles, Kenneth (Cherion) Holder, Melissa (David) George & Venessa Holder; 19 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and by his extended family & many good friends.
John retired as associate pastor of Maranatha Bible Church in Dayton and previously pastored the Holy New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Milwaukee.
The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday at Maranatha Bible Church, 6585 Fishburg Road, Dayton. Interment will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery.
Contributions may be made in memory of John to Maranatha Bible Church.
