Rev. R. Stephenson

Rev. Carl R. Stephenson, age 88 of Beavercreek, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 at his residence. . He was born March 30, 1930 in Huntsville, Ohio the son of Carl and Grace Stephenson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Victoria A. Allen; brother, Donald Stephenson; sisters, Connie Hughes and Norma Winkle.

He pastored 8 years in Logan County, serving at Logansville Christian Church and Muchinippi Christian Church. He pastored over 25 years at County Line Baptist Church of Beavercreek.

He played Minor League baseball until he went into the ministry. He graduated from Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, PA 1958.

Carl is survived by his wife Geraldine; daughters, Susan (Ben) Townsend and Kristin M. (Tony) Bower; sons, Richard (Cathy) Stephenson, John (Melissa) Stephenson, Kevin (Cindy) Stephenson and Michael (Diana) Stephenson; brother, Bill Charles (Susie) Stephenson; grandchildren, Shannon (Jon) Buring, Ashley (Mako) Williams, Sabrina Stephenson, Adam (Tarah) Feurt, Danielle Felton, Amy Stephenson, David (Courtney) Stephenson, Ariel Stephenson, Tyler Stephenson, Matthew (Keandra) Bower, Nicholas Bower, Emily Bower; 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on March 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Visitation will be March 27, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Rev. Stephenson's name to VITAS Hospice.
