Renata Susan Engel

Renata Susan (nee: Russocki) Engel, 53, of Kettering, passed away surrounded by family on August 27, 2022. She was born on August 27, 1969 to Jim and Dorothy (nee: Brown) Russocki in Hamilton, New Jersey.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Russocki.


Renata is survived by her loving husband, Steven Engel; her son, Alex Engel; her step-sons, Matthew and Andrew Engel; her sister, Sandy (Joe) Guilfoyle; her nephew, James Guilfoyle; her niece, Shayna Guilfoyle; her step-mother, Holly Walker and her mother in-law Ina Engel. Renata is also survived by numerous family and friends.


Renata was a devoted Christian. She worked for BTAS, Inc. and specialized in HRIS, Benefits, Payroll, and billing for government contracts. Renata enjoyed cooking, vacationing at the Jersey Shore, eating good food, and fellowship with friends and family. She was also an avid animal lover. Renata was a friend to all. If anyone met Renata they remembered her caring spirit and sense of humor. The most important thing to Renata was her family and friends. She enjoyed Sunday night dinners, cheering on her children, niece, and nephew at sporting and academic events. Renata is well loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 17th, 2022 at Fairhaven Church, Schwann Chapel in Centerville, OH beginning at 11 am.
