Reginald O. Johnson Sr.

Reginald O. Johnson Sr., age 76, passed away May 1, 2023 at his residence in Tipp City, OH. He was born March 28, 1947 in Birmingham, AL to the late Jesse Lee and Charles L. Johnson Sr.

Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served his country 25 years separating at the rank of Master Sergeant. His field was maintenance and later cross-trained to the medical field of dentistry. Mr. Johnson served at several military bases in the United States as well as Thailand during the Viet Nam Era. His studies eventually led him to receive his Doctorate Degree in Theology. After retiring from the Air Force, he also attended Barber School and owned his show in Troy, Ohio for 10 years. His greatest love was winning souls to Christ and served the Outreach Ministry at West Central Juvenile Center in Troy, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife, Marie E. Johnson; his siblings, Charles L. Johnson Jr., Monique Simons, Robert E. Johnson, Jamie Middlebrook and his brother-in-law, Claude McFadden.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Johnson; his sons, Reginald O. Johnson Jr. and Rajah S. Johnson; his step-son, Jeff Torres; his grandson, Reginald O. Johnson III; his sisters, Rhoda Bailey, Corlis McFadden, Vivian Hussain, Irma Johnson, Joyce Dowty, Alethia Johnson Cole; his brother, Jason Middlebrook; his sisters, Jodi Middlebrook and Jennifer Middlebrook; and several nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with funeral services immediately following, all at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel. Burial to follow in Dayton National Cemetery.
