Regina Reed McCurdy, age 67 of Beavercreek, was called home on Monday February 20, 2012. She was born on July, 2, 1944. Regina was preceded in death by her first husband William O. Reed; and her parents, Lee and Alice Poffenberger.
Regina is survived by her husband of 25 years, John McCurdy; daughters, Amanda (Reed) Turner and Amy (McCurdy) Cline; loving niece, Christina McCullough; three grandchildren, Tia Turner, Duncan McCullough and Jonathan Cline; sister, Sandee (Jim) West; her birth family, Wanda (Leslie) Penrod, Paul (Virginia) Clay, Janice (Joe) Braunstein, and Norman (Judy) Clay; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.
Regina was a life member of the former Beavercreek Jaycees, an active member of the Beavercreek Church of the Brethren, Beavercreek Senior Citizens and the Beavercreek Red Hatters. Regina was the co-owner and office manager of B&R Heating and Air Conditioning. She worked for 29 years at Buckeye Fabricating, as well as working at H&R Block as a tax consultant. Regina had a passion for working with people.
A visitation will take place on Friday February 24, 2012 from 1:00-3:00 pm and from 6:00-8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday February 25, 2012 at 10:30 am at Beavercreek Church of the Brethren, 2659 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Burial to take place at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tenth Life and The Juvenile Diabetes Association.
