Reed Warren Clark was born on July 30th, 1953 in St. Paul Minnesota. In 1960, his family moved to Centerville Ohio, where he spent long summers of his childhood playing with the neighborhood kids in the wide-open fields, hunting pheasants, and protecting his sister from the territorial red-winged crows. As an adult, Reed dedicated his life to the jewelry business, the motto of "arrive as a customer, leave as a friend," holding deeply true for him. Outside of work, Reed was known as an unofficial historian for all things WWII, no detail too small to be noticed and explored. His brilliant mind made for great conversation, particularly when it came to trains. Reed spent his free time building villages surrounded by intricately engineered tracks, developing beautiful miniature worlds that reflected the depths of his attention to detail and creativity. Reed also loved holidays, filling his home with thoughtful touches that made every holiday feel special.
Reed was a true friend to all who met him, maintaining life-long friendships with friends from a variety of walks of life. He was full of thoughtful gifts, small favors, and kind words for all who were lucky enough to know him. While his friends and family are grateful his suffering has come to an end, we mourn the loss of his kind spirit and the friendship and warmth he brought to our lives.
Reed Clark passed peacefully on March 28th, 2019 at age 65 in the loving care of Hospice of Dayton. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Marilyn and Robert Clark, and his sister Cheryl Clark-West. He is survived by his nephew Ian, his nieces Tori, Dawn, Tara, and Samantha, and his sister Janine Kerr "Pooh", who will love him always.
