Reecie Toops

Toops, Reecie R., age 86, of Huber Heights, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2008 at GrandviewHospital. She was born September 13, 1921 in Jamestown, TN, the daughter of A. Allred & Mary Jane (Whited) Allred. She was a minister's wife for many years. Reecie was a wonderful chef, seamstress, and loved gardening-she could make anything grow. She is preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. Survivors include her husband, Warren Toops; children, Tim (Connie) Toops of Sarasota, FL and Linda (Roger) Lemasters of Gloucester, VA; grandchildren, Scott, Michele, Merrideth, & Laura; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Woodrow Allred of South Kodak, TN; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH. Interment will follow at MapleHillCemetery, TippCity. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 PM until the time of services.
