Rebecca "Becky" M. Bohannon

Rebecca "Becky" M. Bohannon, age 82 of Riverside, Ohio passed away March 30, 2025. She was born July 18, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of the late Russell and Mae Mills.

Becky was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She worked at Dayton Press for many years. Becky, with Bo, organized and hosted several Dayton Press Employee Reunions. She enjoyed traveling to her favorite destination, Daytona Beach. Becky loved boating on Lake Cumberland, bowling, and spending time with her family. Becky will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her son, Richard Cottrell; daughter, Sherry Cottrell; and grandchildren, Joshua Cottrell and Sarah Lynch.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gerald "Bo" Bohannon; children, Charles (Beverly) Cottrell, Robert "Bob" (Pam) Cottrell, John (Peggy) Cottrell, Julie "Sissy" (Garey) Cottrell, and David (Tina) Cottrell; grandchildren, Becky (Charles), Sherry (David), Denise, Tanya (Clint), Alex (Nickii), Alan, Amber, Sabrina, Faith, Jacob, Courtney, Nathan, and Seth; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 5-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A Funeral Service will begin at 6pm at the Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Huff officiating.
