Raymond Wells, age 93 of Dayton, passed away May 28, 2018. He was born April 27, 1925 in Corbin, KY to the late Greene and Lillie Wells. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mildred Wells; daughter, Donna Wells; brother, Jerald Wells; and sisters: Voncilla Sampson, Lenora Cox, Irene Smith and Leona Cono.
Ray is survived by his children: Ron (Christine) Wells and Dianna Wells; grandchildren: David DeDominici, Matthew (Josie) DeDominici and daughter, Raine, Andrew (Mariah) DeDominici and daughter, Isabel, Amanda DeDominici and her children: Avery and Carter, Sarah (Brian) Birt and their children: Christian, Ella, Gavin, Owen and Evan, Emily (Justin) McCord and their children: Jacob and Quinn, Derrick Stone, Amanda (Shawn) Nadorff and their children: Carolynn, Frederick and Jameson; sister, Mildred Royse; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, WWII. He was a member of the Millennium Lodge # 0779 F. & A.M., and Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonel. Ray worked in the restaurant equipment service industry for more than 60 years. He was an avid fisherman and had a great sense of humor.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 11 am.
