Raymond "Joe" Uebel, 77, of Centerville, passed away October 17, 2017. Raymond was born in Melbourne, Kentucky on September 30, 1940 to the late Raymond and Alma Uebel. Raymond retired from UPS after 27 years of service. He also retired in 2005 from Clark State Community College after 18 years of service. He was a proud member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. In his free time he enjoyed golfing, playing cards, cheering for his beloved Wildcats basketball team, traveling to national parks, going to the lakehouse, the beach and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his siblings, Phyllis Schmitt, Nancy Maher, Don Uebel; brother-in-laws, John Kreyling, Tony Mazzaro, and Mike Maher. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda Uebel; son, Jason (Emily) Uebel; daughters, Allison (Todd) Tayloe, Holly (Nicholas) Vogler; grandchildren, Logan Tayloe, Henry Vogler; sisters, Beatrice Kreyling, Susan Mazzaro; and many other relatives and special friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will begin at 4:00 pm with Chaplain Chad Vickers officiating. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley or The St. Vincent de Paul Society.
