Raymond E. Shepherd
September 16, 1940 — June 13, 2017
Raymond E. Shepherd "Ray", age 76 of Kettering, passed away June 13, 2017 at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born September 16, 1940 to the late Nancy Shank. In addition to his mother, Ray was preceded in death by son, Kelly Ray Shepherd.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Shepherd; son, James (Wendy) Shepherd; son, Gregory Messer; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; numerous "adopted" grandchildren; twin brother, Ronald Shepherd; brother, Charles Shepherd; sister, Barbara Shepherd and a host of extended family and friends.
Ray worked construction most of his life here in Dayton. He was an avid Buckeyes fan, enjoyed fishing and watching WWE. Ray and Wanda loved to camp and play cards with their friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 16th 2017 at Open Bible Christian Church 4715 Burkhardt Ave in Dayton Oh at 4pm. There will be a dinner/fellowship for family and friends immediately following the service.
