ROBBINS, Raymond "Ray" E, better known to Bingo friends as Robbie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. He was born in Franklin, IN to the late Harold Robbins and Martha Hobbs.
Ray proudly served in the Untied States Navy during WWII and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor and the Battle of the Coral Sea. He attended Tri State Engineering College, where he earned his associate's degree. Raymond worked for many years for Aerospace Industries in Los Angelos, CA. He retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in 1979. Ray was an active member at Parkview Untied Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his sons, Gary Robbins and Terry Robbins; and sisters, Hazel Tangman, Alma McCleerey, and Helen Utterback.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Molly Robbins; sons, Mark Robbins, Fred (Beth) Blanton, Jeff Blanton, and Steve (Hope) Robbins; grandchildren, Amber (Daryl and Ethan) Blanton, Michael Blanton, Jocelyn, Noelle, Tracey, Sarah, Jennifer, and Amy; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends that were made while boating on Cumberland Lake.
A visitation will be held Friday, Dec 18, 2015 at Parkview United Methodist Church (3713 Benner Rd, Miamisburg) from 5pm-8pm. A funeral Service will take place on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015 at 11am at the church. Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Raymond's name to Parkview UMC or Hospice of Dayton.
